Terms of Service

Illudex is an independent visual discovery tool for collectible card artwork. It provides search, browsing, binder-building, and community features. Search results, tags, similarity scores, prices, and availability may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong.

Price figures shown on card pages are TCGplayer and Cardmarket market prices, updated once a day. They are indications, not quotes. They are not an offer to sell, they are not Illudex's valuation of a card, and the price on a marketplace at the moment you arrive is the only one that governs a purchase.

Illudex is not a marketplace, grading service, appraiser, or investment adviser. You are responsible for verifying a card, seller, condition, price, and transaction before making a purchase.

You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to agree to these terms. You are responsible for activity through your account and for maintaining access to the email address used to sign in — sign-in links are sent there, so anyone who can read that inbox can reach your account. Do not impersonate another person or claim a misleading handle.

You retain ownership of content you submit, such as a display name, bio, collection title, description, or published binder arrangement. You grant Illudex a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, and distribute that content only as needed to operate, promote, and improve the service.

You may not submit content that is unlawful, abusive, deceptive, infringing, sexually exploitative, malicious, or that violates another person's privacy. We may hide or remove content and restrict accounts when reasonably necessary to protect people, rights holders, or the service.

• Do not interfere with Illudex, bypass security or rate limits, or introduce malware.
• Do not use automated access in a way that burdens the service or ignores published controls.
• Do not use Illudex to violate law, intellectual-property rights, or marketplace rules.
• Do not attempt to access another person's account or non-public content without permission.
• Do not click your own affiliate links, or ask anyone else to, in order to generate commission.

Card images, character names, game names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective rights holders. Illudex does not claim ownership of them. Illudex is an independent project and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Creatures Inc., GAME FREAK, Bandai, eBay, TCGplayer, or any other publisher or marketplace named on the site.

If you are a rights holder or their agent and believe material on Illudex infringes your rights, email illudexsupport@gmail.com with the URL of the material, an identification of the work, your contact details, the basis for your request, and a statement that the information is accurate and that you are authorised to act. We remove or restrict material that a valid notice identifies.

Illudex is free to use and carries no advertising. It is funded by affiliate commission: Illudex participates in the eBay Partner Network and, through Impact, the TCGplayer affiliate program. The marketplace buttons on card pages are affiliate links, labeled where they appear.

If you follow one of those links and buy something, Illudex may earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra — the price you pay is the marketplace's price, and the commission is paid out of the marketplace's own margin.

Commission does not buy placement. Which cards appear, and in what order, depends only on how well they match your search; a card with no marketplace link ranks exactly as it otherwise would. A marketplace is solely responsible for its listings, sellers, stock, prices, payments, shipping, returns, and privacy practices, and Illudex is not a party to anything you buy there. Disputes about an order go to the marketplace or seller, not to us.

What the affiliate programs receive and record is described in the Privacy Policy.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of Illudex, and may limit or terminate access for violations of these terms or risks to the service. You may stop using Illudex at any time. To request account deletion, follow the process in the Privacy Policy.

Illudex is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, accurate results, accurate prices, marketplace availability, or preservation of browser-stored data.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Illudex and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunities arising from use of the service, and total liability for any claim relating to Illudex will not exceed one hundred US dollars. Rights that cannot legally be waived, and liability that cannot legally be limited, remain unaffected.

If a provision of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Not enforcing a term once does not waive it later. We may assign these terms to a successor if Illudex changes hands; you may not assign them. Together with the Privacy Policy, these terms are the entire agreement between you and Illudex about the service.
